If you're like me, you're not a fan of mayo, or maybe you need to layoff of Mayo to loose a few pounds, for whatever the reason, this recipe is a healthy alternative. Ingredients:
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna |
1/4 cup onion (green, white or red) |
1/4 cup green olives |
1/2 cup chickpeas (optional) |
1/2 cup beans (optional) |
1 garlic clove, diced |
1 pinch pepper |
1 pinch salt |
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon vinegar |
1 dash hot chili sauce |
Directions:
1. mix all ingredients in a bowl, you can leave out the canned beans and chick peas if you like, but I like to keep them in because its filling, adds texture and protein. 2. When adding the olives, pour a bit of the brine in too, i do this with the canned tuna as well. 3. try adding other flavors and veg, there are endless combinations to enjoy tuna salad. |
