Tuna and peas are simmered in a thick gravy. This makes a really good lunch. Ingredients:
1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can peas, with liquid |
3/4 cup evaporated milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 quart milk |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, peas, butter, salt and pepper. In a saucepan, stir together the flour and milk until smooth. Stir in the tuna mixture, and cook over medium-low heat until thickened, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour over crackers or toast to serve. |
