Skillet fried chunk tuna formed into patties and seasoned. A great high protein, low fat main dish that tastes good. Ingredients:
12 oz chunk light tuna in water |
1 egg |
1/8 cup bread crumbs |
1/8 cup onion |
1/8 cup celery |
2 tbsp promise spread |
1 tsp garlic powder |
1 1/2 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Drain water from tuna 2. Dice onion and celery 3. In a mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, celery and onion 4. In a separate bowl mix egg, salt and garlic salt 5. Pour egg mix onto tuna and breadcrumb and gently fold together 6. Allow to rest so bread crumbs absorb some moisture (about 5 to 10 minutes) 7. Heat a non-stick skillet to medium high with Promise spread (or other low fat oil) 8. Form tuna into patties of equal size (thinner patties makes crispier end product, thicker mane juicier product) 9. Fry for 3 to 5 minutes per side 10. Add a few drops of lemon juice and salt if desired, and serve hot |
