I've been making this salad for 20 years. It's best if left overnight before eating but I rarely can wait that long... Ingredients:
2 cups dry rotini pasta - boiled and drained (rinse with cold water) |
2/3 cup frozen green peas |
1/3 cup chopped red onion |
1/3 cup chopped celery |
1 can albacore tuna in water - drained |
dressing |
1 cup miracle whip salad dressing |
2 tab. yellow mustard |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients well in a large bowl. Mix miracle whip and mustard in another bowl and then blend into pasta mix. Cover and refrigerate 8 - 10 hours for best results. Salad will be dry as pasta absorbs dressing, may need to add more to suit your taste. |
