I don't know what else to say about this other than I've been eating it for over twenty years and it is still my favorite macaroni salad. The tuna adds a nice touch. I have never found a recipe to top it. Quick and easy too. Ingredients:
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked |
1 cup mayonnaise |
3/4 cup italian dressing |
1 teaspoon mustard |
1 large cucumber, halved and sliced |
1/2 cup green pepper, diced |
1 1/2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced |
1/4 cup green onion, chopped (green part only) |
1 (7 ounce) can tuna, drained |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Italian dressing, and mustard. 2. In large bowl, add mayonnaise mixture to all other ingredients. 3. Mix well. 4. Chill. |
