Spicy, Sweet and Sour sauce to dip grilled Shrimp or Scallops Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon oyster sauce |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1 -2 serrano pepper (chopped) |
cayenne pepper (lots for me) |
1/2 cucumber (chopped without seeds) |
2 tablespoons of minced cilantro |
water |
1/2 cup rice vinegar |
1 tablespoon lime zest |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan on Medium heat. 2. Melt sugar in the vinegar. 3. add oyster sauce. 4. add pepper and cucumber. 5. Saute for 5 minutes. 6. Mix Cornstarch in a cup with water. 7. Add to thicken recipe. 8. add Cayenne pepper and lime zest. 9. Divide into 4 portions. 10. Use as a dipping sauce. |
