A combination of two goodies with a grown up taste. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate pieces (9 ounces) |
2/3 cup butter |
1/3 cup strong brewed coffee |
3 eggs |
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
Directions:
1. Grease and flour a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside. 2. In the top of a double boiler, over simmering water, melt chocolate pieces and butter. Stir in coffee until well combined. Cool to room temperature. 3. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs with electric mixer until foamy. Add the granulated sugar and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Reduce speed; beat in chocolate mixture. Stir in flour. Spread in the prepared pan. 4. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars. |
