This is the best Turkey Salad I have ever tasted! It is totally addictive! It can be eaten on a bed of greens or between slices of your favorite bread. It is best eaten after chilled in the refrigerator for a couple hours, but it can be eaten immediately after being prepared as well. Inspired by a newly adopted Zaar recipe. Ingredients:
2 lbs turkey tenderloins or 2 lbs turkey breast, cooked and cubed |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
1/4 cup sour cream |
1/4 cup mango, cut into small cubes |
1/4 cup red onion, cubed |
1/4 cup red pepper, cubed |
1/4 cup pineapple, sliced |
1/4 cup banana, cubed |
1/2 lime, juice |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or adjust for more heat) |
1 tablespoon orange juice |
2 tablespoons chopped macadamia nuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. 2. Place scoop on salad greens or use as filling between your favorite bread. |
