From Stephen Raichlen. Use any way you would use ordinary tartar sauce. Update: I decided to try Kittencal's suggestion and add garlic. I'm not sure which way I like it more, with or without! Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced |
2 tablespoons cornichon pickles, drained and finely chopped |
2 tablespoons capers, drained and finely chopped |
2 tablespoons green olives, pitted and finely chopped |
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons green peppercorns, finely chopped |
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice |
salt and pepper |
cayenne pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. 2. Keep refrigerated. |
