This is a good, sweet onion dip made sweeter by cooking the onions first. This can be used as a dip or a spread. It goes well on roast beef sandwiches. Ingredients:
2 t. vegetable oil |
1 large vidalia onion, chopped |
1 large red onion, chopped |
1 t. choppped parsley |
1 (8 oz.) tub cream cheese with chives |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat; add onions and cook for about 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. 2. Stir in parsley and cheese until smooth and well blended. Spoon into bowl and serve warm or chill and serve cold. |
