From an unidentified magazine clipping- are decadent!
Ingredients:
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liquor
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted, spooned, and leveled
1/4 cup dark baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup vanilla chips or 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped pecans, lightly toasted
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 -3 teaspoons milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
3. Sift the next 5 (dry ingredients) into this bowl, and stir to combine (do not over-mix, or brownies wil be tough!).
4. Gently fold in chips and nuts.
5. Bake in a greased 9-inch square baking pan for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
6. Cool on a wire rack.
7. For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, and confectioner's sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy.
8. Add cinnamon, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Spread over cooled brownies.
9. Store in refrigerator.
