From an unidentified magazine clipping- are decadent! Ingredients:
1 egg, beaten |
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar |
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted |
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liquor |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted, spooned, and leveled |
1/4 cup dark baking cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips |
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips |
1/4 cup vanilla chips or 1/4 cup white chocolate chips |
1/4 cup chopped pecans, lightly toasted |
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened |
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 -3 teaspoons milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. 3. Sift the next 5 (dry ingredients) into this bowl, and stir to combine (do not over-mix, or brownies wil be tough!). 4. Gently fold in chips and nuts. 5. Bake in a greased 9-inch square baking pan for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 6. Cool on a wire rack. 7. For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, and confectioner's sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy. 8. Add cinnamon, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Spread over cooled brownies. 9. Store in refrigerator. |
