This is an apple butter infused with a rich style of Belgian beer. Ingredients:
1 large granny smith apple |
3/4 cup beer (preferably belgian tripel) |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 pinch apple pie spice (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients together in a heavy saucepan. 2. Cook over medium heat, uncovered, until the apples become soft and mushy (about 30 minutes). 3. Toss mixture into food processor and puree to desired texture. |
