Warning! This recipe is for the person who loves a hot flash from the heat! A great addition to a salsa party or festival your guest will talk about for a long time! Ingredients:
3 cups chopped, seeded, cored tomatoes |
2 cups chopped habanero peppers |
2 cups chopped onions |
6cloves garlic |
3 tablespoons minced cilantro |
2 teaspoons oregano |
2 teaspoons sea salt |
1/2-teaspoon cumin |
1 to 1 1/4 cups cider vinegar |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients in a large saucepan. 2. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. 3. Ladle hot into pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. 4. Adjust lids and process in a boiling water canner: 5. 15 minutes at 0-1,000 feet altitude 6. 20 minutes at 1,001-6,000 feet 7. 25 minutes above 6,000 feet. 8. * wear latex or rubber gloves when preparing hot peppers to prevent hands from being burned! |
