Tried And True Estate Sale Purchased Hazelnut Ice ...

This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale several years ago. Because of my love of hazelnuts, I made this one right away and it is now a regular in my home. We love it and hope you do too.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup half and half
1-1/2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup pasteurized egg substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 teaspoons hazelnut extract
1/4 teaspoons xanthan gum
1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
Directions:
1. Combine half and half, milk, sugar, egg substitute, flavor extracts and xanthan gum in a blender then cover and puree 3 minutes.
2. Pour into freezer of your ice cream maker and stir in the hazelnuts.
3. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Let stand 5 minutes at room temperature or until it can be sliced easily.
