I hope this bakes enough that there is not a problem with the eggs and meringue. Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. white sugar |
1/4 lb. butter or one stick |
3 heaping tbsps. flour |
cook filling to warm and sugar dissolves, cool, and mix |
1 c. whole milk, 3 egg yolks in milk |
1 tsp. vanilla added to above, never let filling boil |
put in uncooked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Beat the three egg whites into meringue and spread on cooked pie, bake meringue at 350 for 5 minutes and reduce heat to 300 and finish browning meringue. |
