Traditionally you would drink this café gritty - but I strain mine! Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
4 whole cloves |
1 stick cinnamon |
4 tablespoons regular grind coffee |
Directions:
1. Heat the water, spices and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. 2. Add the coffee grounds and bring to a boil. 3. Simmer for 2 mintues. 4. Stir, cover and remove from heat. 5. Allow the coffee grounds to settle and then deftly pour the café into mugs - or strain into mugs. |
