Ingredients:
12 cup(s) 1/2 inch cubes white or w.w. bread |
2 cup(s) chopped onion |
1 cup(s) chopped celery |
6 tablespoon(s) butter |
1 teaspoon(s) rubbed sage |
1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1 1/2 cup(s) chicken broth |
Directions:
1. In a preheated 400F oven, toast bread cubes 5 to 7 minutes or until barely golden. 2. In a large skillet, melt butter and cook onion and celery over medium heat for 3 minutes or until softened. Transfer to a bowl and add bread cubes, herbs, salt, pepper and chicken broth. Toss well and adjust seasoning. Transfer to baking dish and bake at 325F for 20 minutes until heated through and crust forms on top. |
