This one of my adopted recipes. It was found in the San Jose Mercury News, July, 2003. This is so good, especially when the fruit has soaked up the wine and cognac! Ingredients:
1 liter red wine |
1 liter lemonade |
1 cup cognac (good) |
2 tablespoons sugar |
4 oranges, sliced |
2 lemons, sliced |
2 peaches, sliced |
2 limes, sliced |
1 cup grapes, sliced, to taste |
Directions:
1. Stir everything together and chill three hours before serving and drinking. 2. Serve with ice in big wine glasses with a spring of mint for garnish. 3. Sometimes I vary the fruit up, depending on what I have on hand. 4. It is good for about 3 days. |
