Tossed Apple-Spinach Salad |

From Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
1 lb fresh spinach |
1 1/2 cups cored diced golden delicious apples |
1 small red onion, thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 teaspoon salad oil |
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Directions:
1. Remove stems and large ribs from spinach; tear up larger leaves. Wash and drain. Place in large, covered saucepan and steam for 1-2 minutes or until slightly wilted. Use no additional water. Drain off any liquid from spinach. Place in salad bowl with diced, unpared apples and onion rings. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over salad and toss lightly. |
