from Juanita Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
1/2 cup shortening (crisco) |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
warm water |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add crisco to flour mix like pie crust. Add warm water a little at a time until dough is soft. Knead dough about 5 minutes. Dough will be smooth and shouldn't stick to hands. Put a little crisco in palm of hands and divide dough into balls. Let balls sit for at least 15 minutes covered with clean towel. Roll into 1/8 disks. Cook on hot griddle. |
