This is a good, quick mexican recipe that I enjoy making and is soooo good. I take this to pot luck dinners and it always goes over well. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated (or more) |
1 1/2 ounces chili seasoning mix (packaged) |
1/2 cup black olives, sliced |
6 corn tortillas (or more) |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine beef and onion, brown and drain. 2. Stir in tomato sauce, chili mix and olives. 3. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. 4. Layer tortillas, meat sauce and cheese in at least a 2 quart casserole dish. 5. Top with olives and cheese. 6. Coover and heat in oven at 350 degrees to melt cheese. |
