My mother-in-law made this and I just had to get the recipe. Tastes like tacos without taco sauce or seasoning. And also with out the mess. :o) Serve with a salad if desired. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted |
2 1/2 cups broken up tortilla chips, divided |
2 cups salsa |
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, cook ground beef, until no longer pink. 2. Stir in soup. 3. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of tortilla chips in a greased shallow 2 1/2 quart baking dish Top with beef mixture. 4. Layer salsa on top of beef. 5. Layer cheese on top of salsa. 6. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25- 30 minutes or until bubbly. 7. Sprinkle with remaining chips and bake 3 minutes longer or until chips are lightly toasted. |
