This recipe was a big hit with my family and friends. The idea for this recipe came from one I saw in a magazine (Sanda Lee Semi-Homemade), but I made a number of important changes to make it easier and (I think) tastier. It is a wonderful, quick dinner so I try and keep all the ingredience on hand for unexpected company or for nights when I just need a quick dinner.
Ingredients:
1 (20 ounce) package frozen breaded chicken tenders
1/4 cup butter
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (marinara)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. 1. Set oven temperature to 400°. Place butter in a rimmed 9 x 13 baking pan and place it in the oven until the butter melts. Remove pan from oven and put breaded chicken tenders in the buttered pan and bake as directed.
2. 2. In a medium bowl, combine spaghetti sauce, garlic, and Italian seasoning.
3. 3. Pour marinara sauce mixture over chicken. Top with cheese. Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese melts. I normally serve it over spaghetti or whatever pasta I happen to have on hand.
