I was going through South of the Fork , put out by the Junior League of Dallas and this caught my eye. Haven't tried it yet. You just set it up and bake it. Ingredients:
6 tomatoes, medium, thickly sliced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
6 green onions, chopped |
1 cup sour cream |
1 teaspoon dried dill weed |
1/2-3/4 cup breadcrumbs, fresh buttered ideally |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. In a greased casserole dish, place one half of the tomatoes; sprinkle with half the salt, pepper, and chopped onion. 3. Repeat layers. 4. Cover with sour cream; sprinkle with dill and bread crumbs. 5. Bake 25 minutes or until brown. |
