This recipe goes with King Mackerel Steaks With Tomato-Wine Sauce Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
4 medium tomatoes, peeled and cut into wedges |
1/4 cup chopped green onion |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided |
1/2 cup chablis or other dry white wine |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Sprinkle sugar over tomato wedges; set aside. Sauté onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet; add wine, and stir until well blended. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add prepared tomatoes and remaining ingredients; cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until butter melts. |
