Thick creamy tomato sauce with a delicious tang that can also be used as a dip! Ingredients:
1 egg yolk |
1 teaspoon dijon mustard |
1/4 cup cider vinegar |
1 cup olive oil |
1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes |
3/4 cup tamari (japanese soy sauce) |
3/4 cup honey |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. In a blender place 1 egg yolk, 1 tea spoon dijon mustard and 1/4 cup cider vinegar. 2. Blend on high while slowly adding 1 cup olive oil. 3. This will make about 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise. 4. Add 1 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes. 5. Add 3/4 cup Tamari. 6. Add 3/4 cup honey. 7. Add 1 tea spoon of black pepper. 8. Blend until smooth. |
