This is a spice cake from a box, made with tomato soup, with only 4 ingredients. Weird to use tomato soup as an ingredient, but this cake is superb! Spicy, sweet, delicious. Cover with cream cheese icing, and you have heaven in a pan! Read more ! My grandmother used to make an old fashioned from scratch version, and this is comparable, and just as delicious! Ingredients:
1 - 18 ounce spice cake mix |
1 - 10 3/4 ounce can tomato soup |
1/2 cup milk or water |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Grease and flour two 8 or 9-inch cake pans. 3. With hand mixer, mix ingredients on low speed just until combined. Continue mixing for 2 minutes on medium to high speed. 4. Pour into pans. 5. Bake for 25 minutes or until done. 6. Cool on wire racks for 10 minutes. 7. Remove and finish cooling on racks. 8. Frost with cream cheese frosting. |
