A cake made with tomato soup. My mother made this for years. It's moist and just plain good! Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
2 eggs |
1 can tomato soup |
1/2 cup milk |
2 cups flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 ground cloves |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup floured raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream together sugar,shortening. 2. Add eggs, soup,and milk. 3. Sift together flour,baking powder, soda, cloves,cinnamon, salt. 4. Mix batters together. 5. Fold in raisins. 6. Pour into a greased floured 13x9 baking dish. 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. |
