From Mom's Spiral Recipe Notebook Ingredients:
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 beaten egg |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon clove |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
Directions:
1. Place soup and baking soda in large bowl; mix together. 2. Stir beaten egg and melted butter into the soup. 3. Sift remaining ingredients together three times. 4. Add to the soup mixture and beat until smooth. 5. In a cake pan, bake in a moderate oven 375 degrees about 35 minutes or until done. 6. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipe) if you wish. |
