Lovely pickle! It was on TV today on Star Plus, got it from there. Ingredients:
1 cup sesame oil |
1 pinch hing |
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard seeds |
1 teaspoon methi seeds |
2 -3 red chilies |
3 cups tomato paste |
1 teaspoon red chili powder |
1 teaspoon turmeric powder |
salt |
Directions:
1. Put oil in a pan. 2. Add hing, mustard seeds, methi seeds& red chillies. 3. Let this crackle. 4. Add tomato paste and mix. 5. Cook for 2 minutes. 6. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. 7. Cook til oil leaves the pickle. 8. Spoon into a jar and serve when desired. |
