I think this recipe comes from a Parade Magazine. Ingredients:
8 fresh tomatoes |
1 medium onion |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 teaspoon garam masala |
3/4 cup malt vinegar or 3/4 cup cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon honey |
Directions:
1. Chop tomatoes and onions. Combine with other ingredients in a heavy saucepan. 2. Cook, partially covered, over low heat for 20 minutes. Mash. Simmer until thickened. 3. Serve with any Indian dish except one which features tomatoes. |
