TOMATO CHUTNEY BLUE CHEESE SPREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Elmhurst Estate in Heath, Texas in 1981. Ingredients:
8 ounces blue cheese crumbled |
8 ounces cream cheese softened |
1/4 cup dry sherry |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
1 cup tomato chutney |
1/4 cup chopped fresh tomatoes |
Directions:
1. Combine cheeses and next 3 ingredients and mix well. 2. Place in a serving dish and chill for several hours until ready to serve. 3. Just before serving warm chutney slightly in a saucepan or microwave and pour over cheese. 4. Top with tomatoes and serve with crackers. |
