Tomato Basil Pasta Salad in a Jar |

Ingredients:
8 ounce(s) rotini pasta |
8 ounce(s) mozzarella cheese cubed |
1 pint(s) cherry tomatoes halved |
5 whole(s) basil leaves chopped |
1/4 cup(s) extra virgin olive oil |
1 tablespoon(s) balsamic vinegar |
Directions:
1. Preparation: 2. In a pot of boiling water cook the pasta according to package instructions- a little on the firm side. Drain and rinse with cold water, let drain for a few minutes 3. Prepare the dressing by mixing olive oil, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, and pepper to taste 4. Have prepared ingredients ready in separate bowls 5. Spoon a 2 tablespoons of dressing into the bottom of each mason jar 6. Layer on top of the dressing (in this order) pasta, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella 7. Cover each jar with a top and shake before serving- this will distribute the dressing evenly over the salad |
