This is a super easy and delicious appetizer. Everyone who tries it asks for the recipe so be prepared! Ingredients:
1 tube (10 oz) refrigerated pizza crust |
8 oz cream cheese, softened (can use 1/3 less fat) |
1 cup fresh basil, finely chopped |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 tsp dried thyme |
1 pint of cherry tomatoes, halved |
1 tbsp olive oil |
1/4 tsp kosher salt |
garnish: freshly ground pepper and basil leaves |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425. 2. Unroll crust on lightly greased baking sheet. Press into rectangle. Bake 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Reduce oven to 350. 3. Mix cream cheese, garlic, chopped basil and thyme. Spread evenly on crust. Top with tomatoes, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake 8 minutes, or until tomatoes are warm through. 4. Cut into 24 pieces. Sprinkle with pepper and additional basil leaves. |
