Tomato and Herb Bruschetta |

A delicious, healthful appetizer or snack. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs plum tomatoes, halved,seeded and chopped |
1/3 cup fresh basil leaf |
1 tablespoon chopped garlic |
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano |
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice |
6 slices crusty bread, toasted,1/2 to 3/4 inch thick |
Directions:
1. Mix first 7 ingredients in bowl. 2. Season to taste. 3. Cut toasted bread in half. 4. Spoon tomato mixture on top of bread and serve. |
