Tomato and Cheese on a Bun |

This is a recipe we had at home growing up. Great recipe for summer nights as it's quick and easy and when tomatoes are in season. Any cheese of your choice would work fine, we just always used processed as that is all we could afford. Ingredients:
1 large tomato |
3 hamburger buns |
6 slices processed cheese |
6 toothpicks |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Slice tomato into 6 medium slices. 2. Put slice of cheese on half of bun. 3. layer with slice of tomato, salt pepper. 4. stick tooth pick into each center. 5. Put on baking sheet and broil for about 5-7 minutes or until hot and bubbly, keep an eye on them so they do not burn. 6. Enjoy. 7. You could also add hot peppers to add a little zip. |
