If you crave the taste of chocolate chip cookies, but don't want to fuss, here's your option. All the flavour, none of the fuss. Given to me by a former neighbour. Ingredients:
2 1/4 c all purpose flour |
1tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 c butter or marg |
3/4 c white sugar |
3/4 c brown sugar,packed |
1 tsp vanilla |
2 eggs |
2 c chocolate chips |
1 c raisins |
1 c chopped nuts ( optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F 2. In bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt & set aside. 3. In large bowl, beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla until creamy. 4. Beat in eggs. 5. Gradually add flour mixture. 6. Stir in chips, raisins, and nuts if using. 7. Spread in lightly greased 9x13 baking pan. 8. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes until light brown. 9. Cool and cut into 2 squares. 10. Cover tightly or it will dry out quickly. |
