After many tries, I finally got a recipe that works. And even though the recipe says to use 1/8 cup of flour, it's better to start out with more so the tofu gets evenly coated. Only about 1/8 cup will actually stick. And 1/3 block light tofu is the same calories. Ingredients:
1/5 block firm tofu |
1/8 cup whole wheat flour |
1 dash salt |
1 dash pepper |
1 dash red pepper |
1 tbs. olive oil |
Directions:
1. Cut tofu into cubes. 2. Mix flour and seasonings. 3. Carefully coat tofu cubes with flour mixture. 4. Fry over medium-high heat, turning until golden on all sides. |
