Ingredients:
1 block(s) firm tofu sliced longways |
Directions:
1. First, drain and freeze the tofu in a ziploc bag for 3 days or more. It may be frozen with a marinade if desired. 2. Thaw and drain tofu. 3. Marinate or season as you would a piece of chicken. 4. Spray a baking sheet iwht Pam and bake at 375 for 15 min. 5. It can be used in one-dish dinners at this point (like stirred into fried rice, etc) OR made crispy. 6. Stir seasoning or marinade into 1 beaten egg white. 7. Coat each piece with egg, then dredge in a light cornstarch & flour mix, with any desired added seasonings. 8. Fry in a pan of olive oil, leaving each side until it browns. 9. If desired, even more flavor can be added by brushing the tofu with a sauce (such as leftover marinade or bbq), and the briefly broiling until sauce glazes over. 10. Enjoy! |
