A nice replacement for tartar sauce. Can be used for a dip with fish, fresh vegetables or thinned with a little milk to make a salad dressing. This is the way I like it, you may have to adjust seasonings to suit your own taste. This tastes SO MUCH better if allowed to sit in the refrigerator overnight. Ingredients:
6 ounces tofu (i use mori-nu silken soft lite) |
1/4 cup fat free sour cream |
1/4 cup fat-free mayonnaise (i use nasoya) |
2 teaspoons dried dill |
2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh is best) |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 tablespoon dried chives |
1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste, i use sea salt) |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. 2. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor. |
