These are light textured muffins, The surprise is the little candy center that melts in the batter while baking. recipe translated from a ethnic baking group Ingredients:
80 g nutella , liquified |
250 g flour |
50 g ground almonds |
2 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1 egg |
80 g sugar |
60 ml vegetable oil |
150 g sour cream |
130 ml buttermilk |
15 pieces toffifee ( german brand of a caramel, hazelnut, nouget filled candy ) but one can use a similar caramel candy |
Directions:
1. Line muffin tins with paper muffin cups 2. In a bowl, mix the almonds, flour, baking powder, baking soda 3. In another bowl mix the oil, egg, sugar, sour cream, buttermilk and melted Nutella 4. Combine both bowl ingredients together. 5. Mix just to make wet and blend. 6. Then fill prepared tins one full with mixture and place a candy in the center, place on remaining filling over the candy 7. Bake in 180C oven about 20 minutes or tested done 8. Cool completely 9. Use additional paper and tins as needed to make muffins |
