I got the best cookbook from my girlfriend yesterday. It is called The Best Hershey recipes. This is the first recipe I tried from it. Wouldn't you know it would be cookies!! My family loves snickerdoodles ,we were excited to try a different twist to them. Read more .They turned out wonderful! I will definitley make these again. Ingredients:
1 cup butter crisco |
1 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
2 3/4 cups flour |
2 tsp cream of tartar |
1 tsp baking soda |
1/4 tsp salt |
1 1/3 cups(8 ounce package) heath toffee bits |
1 tsp cinnamon |
3 tbsp sugar |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400* 2. Beat butter crisco and sugar until fluffly. 3. Add eggs; beat thorougly. 4. Stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt; add to butter mixture and blend. 5. Stir in tofee bits. 6. Stir together sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. 7. Shape dough in balls; roll in sugar cinnamon mixture. 8. Place on cookie sheet. 9. Bake 9 to 11 min. 10. Remove from oven and enjoy! |
