This is a tasty square that makes a lovely addition to your Holiday sweets tray. Ingredients:
1 cup margarine, softened |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 egg yolk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups flour mixed with 1/4 tsp. salt |
1 (12 ounce) package nestle chocolate chips |
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Cream margarine, add brown sugar, then egg yolk and vanilla, Mix well.
2. Add flour and salt. Mix well. Batter will be stiff.
3. Spread batter into lightly buttered large cookie sheets (with sides).
4. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes until done.
5. Melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions and spoon over hot cookie dough. Sprinkle with pecans and cut into squares when cool.
