Delightful pick up dessert. My next door neighbor brought these to me when we moved into the neighborhood. Needless to say we have been the sweetest of friends ever since that day! Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 cup light brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes) |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
1 cup butter |
3/4 cup light brown sugar |
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine crust ingredients until mix resembles corn meal. 3. Press into even layer in ungreased 9x13 pan. 4. Press pecans into crust. 5. For the topping: combine butter and sugar in pan, bring to boil for 1 minute constantly stirring. 6. Pour over pecans and crust. 7. Bake 20 minutes. Surface will bubble. 8. Allow to cool 1 minute. Sprinkle chips over top. 9. Wait 2-3 minutes to soften. 10. Spread to cover top. 11. Chill well. Bring to room temp to cut. |
