Another one from The Busy Family Cookbook. Ingredients:
8 slices white bread |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
6 ounces thinly sliced cooked ham |
4 slices cheddar cheese |
2 slices red onions, separated into rings |
2 tablespoons horseradish sauce |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Spread four slices of bread with mayo. 2. Layer each with the ham, cheese and onion. 3. Spread horseradish sauce on remaining bread; place bread with horseradish side down over onion. 4. Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich. 5. In a large skillet over medium heat, toast sandwiches for 4-5 minutes until bread is lightly browned and cheese is melted. |
