Ingredients:
1 cup milk |
2 eggs |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 pound bulk pork sausage |
maple syrup (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine milk and eggs in a mixing bowl; mix well. Add flour and salt, beating until smooth. Cover; set aside 1 hour. 2. Shape sausage into 6 patties, 3 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1/2-inch thick. Cook patties in skillet over medium heat until done, turning once. Drain sausage patties, reserving 2 tablespoons pan drippings. 3. Place pan drippings in a 10- x 6- x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange sausage patties in dish. Pour batter over sausage patties. Bake, uncovered, at 450° for 30 minutes or until browned. Serve warm with maple syrup, if desired. |
