My mom used to make this for me when I was a kid. She called the egg in the center of the bread a toad in the hole Ingredients:
1 slice bread |
1/2 tbs butter |
1 egg |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. cut a round circle from the center of the bread; set aside 2. In a small pan, melt buttter and place bread in pan 3. crack egg in the center of the bread 4. sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste 5. cook on medium heat, turing over at desired doneness |
