a recipe that I came up with a friend of mine hat we have tweaked a tad. Ingredients:
3 cups cooked chopped beef |
1 (1 lb) can refried beans |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped green pepper |
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
3 teaspoons chili powder |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon celery salt |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
3/4 cup water |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup crushed corn flakes |
6 taco shells |
shredded lettuce |
chopped tomato |
shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except the last 5 in a slow cooker, and mix well. 2. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours. 3. Just before serving, fold in crushed corn flakes. 4. Spoon mixture into taco shells, and top with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. |
