Ingredients:
1 cup(s) butter |
1 cup(s) shortening |
4 cup(s) flour |
4 egg yolks save whites |
1 pound(s) english walnuts roughly crushed add 1 cup to batter |
your choice of types of jelly / jam |
1 cup(s) brown sugar packed |
Directions:
1. Put saved egg white in deep dish walnuts in another 2. Use hands to mix ingredients. 3. mix butter & shortening until well blended, 4. add brown sugar & mix well, 5. add egg yolk & mix well, 6. add flour and mix well, 7. Roll in balls 8. dip in egg whites then roll in walnuts 9. push hole in center ( not all the way through) 10. place in greased cookie sheet 11. bake 350 for 18 min then 2 more with jelly placed in center where you created the hole. |
