This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brunson Estate in Midlothian, Texas in 1990. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 large garlic clove minced |
1 tablespoon finely chopped peeled fresh ginger |
1/4 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes |
6 ounces sugar snap peas trimmed and cut diagonally into 1 pieces |
6 ounces snow peas trimmed and cut diagonally into 1 pieces |
1 cup frozen green peas |
1 teaspoon soy sauce |
1 teaspoon sesame oil |
1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking. 2. Stir fry garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes until fragrant about 1 minute. 3. Add sugar snaps and snow peas then stir fry until crisp tender about 3 minutes. 4. Add frozen peas and stir fry until hot about 2 minutes. 5. Remove from heat then stir in soy sauce and sesame oil. 6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with salt. |
